About Us

There's no red barn at Red Barn Acres. Yet...
We are a 3rd generation farming family in Kansas. We raise cattle & chickens and grow wheat, corn, soybeans and of course, flowers!
When I was trying to think of a name for the flower portion of our farm, I kept going back to my grandparents farm, Red Barn Acres.
Red Barn Acres represents some of my most cherished childhood memories. Riding on the tractor with my Poppy, working in the garden with my grandmother, snapping peas on the front porch and picking berries.
In 1938, my husband's grandfather, Earl purchased a farmstead in Grenola, KS. Where he farmed for over 60 years and taught my father in law to farm. My father in law began running his own custom cutting crew at the age of 16 all the way up in Montana to Oklahoma. In 1975, my father in law purchased the family farmstead not far from Red Barn Acres. Where he and my mother-in-law raised 5 children and also taught their children how to farm.
We currently farm around 800 acres in the Peck area and have carried the legacy of farming to our children.
We hope that our farm is a happy place for you to create some wonderful memories with your family.
